CALL TO ACTION !!

SPECIAL INVITATION

You are cordially invited to a special demonstration of personal American Democracy in action! No, you don’t have to travel to Washington, DC or even Richmond, VA.

Right here, in Chatham, VA, the seat of government for Pittsylvania County, many things are taking place that will have an immense impact on the future of our town and county’s lands, air, waterways, home values, and general economies. Multi-national and local corporations want to transform our pristine countryside into a massive uranium mining operation.

There are seemingly legitimate arguments that both favor and oppose this transformation. We encourage you to personally take a part in the making of this momentous decision! To do otherwise would allow others to decide your and your families’ futures.

Our country, state, county, and town were all built on citizen participation! We ask that you participate by:

· Educating yourself on this issue. Go to
http://SCCChatham.blogspot.com for information.

· Attend the Chatham Town Council meeting where the DECISION will be made. Let them know how YOU feel!

Council Meeting is Monday, January 14, 2008 at 7:00 pm at the Fire Department building on RT 57 West of Chatham's only traffic light (about 3 blocks).

RSVP

-by attending with your family!
