Walter Coles, Sr apparently intentionally misled Lynchburg News Advance Reporter Ray Reed in an article Reed published (re-run in the Danville Register Bee on 01/11/08) when he stated, "That is absolutely, absolutely untrue" in reference to the allegation that there was Canadian money invested in his venture.
According to the article, SCC Chairman Jack Dunavant claimed "This is just another attempt by these people to ram uranium down our throats by Virginia Uranium and its Canadian investors". The article state that Coles responded:
"That is absolutely, absolutely untrue,” Coles responded. “The company is owned 76 percent by the Coles and Bowen families, and 10 percent by employees. The rest is owned by 31 Virginians and some institutional investors.”
Yet, in today's article (01/16/08) by the same reporter, Coles does admit that there is indeed Canadian money invested in his companies. The article today quotes Coles as saying:
"It’s true there’s a Canadian aspect to the company’s organizational structure, Walter Coles, who set up Virginia Uranium Inc. last summer, said. Nevertheless, Americans - most of them Virginians - own more than 88 percent of the company, he said."
This connection was found by SCC affiliates who alerted Mr Reed of the obvious "miss-statement" by Coles. Reed then re-interviewed Coles who then admitted the Canadian connection.
This author wholeheartedly believes Coles knew of the Canadian connection and purposely witheld it from the public. I also believe other local investors in his company knew of it as well. How could they not know if they are investing their thousands of dollars into this company. To not know would mean that they had been reckless with their investments, and I'm sure they did not get their thousands by being reckless.THEY KNEW !
Therefore, they intentionally misled us by witholding the information. What else are they hiding or witholding from us???
THEY CAN'T BE TRUSTED WITH OUR HEALTH, or, WITH OUR LANDS and WATERS !
