Gainesville, FL, September 07, 2009 --

Sigma Transnational today announced that Russia's Tenex plans to partner with US Nuclear Power Plant Operators to improve the quality of life for Americans who live and work in operators service territory and around their nuclear generating stations through contributions, sponsorships, volunteerism, executive involvement on nonprofit boards and in-kind donations.

Sigma Transnational outlined Russia's Tenex community strategy in a move to bolster Tenex’s corporate image in the eyes of their customers. US utilities: Constellation Exelon, Pacific Gas & Electric Co., AmerenUE; and Luminant. These companies signed contracts with Russia's Techsnabexport (Tenex) for delivery of enriched uranium between 2014 and 2020. These six (6) contracts with US utilities are the first to be signed since the conclusion of the Amendment to the Russian Suspension Agreement of February 2008. Under the amended agreement, the USA will import Russian commercial uranium products from 2011 under new legislation. The amendment allows Russian companies to sell low-enriched uranium (LEU) to US nuclear generators. Russia will be able to supply limited amounts of nuclear fuel for reactor reloads from 2011, while the supply of initial fuel loads for new reactors would be unlimited. All limits are to be phased out by 2021.

The Constellation Energy contract and two (2) Exelon Contracts have already been approved by the U.S. Dept of Commerce. The remaining three (3) contracts Pacific Gas & Electric Co., AmerenUE; and Luminant will also go through the U.S. Dept. of Commerce Review process.
