If coal ash is safe to spread under a golf course or be used in carpets, why are the residents a Tenn. town being told to stay out of a river where the material was spilled? Lesley Stahl reports.
Comments: Thanks Shireen,

CBS touches on the fact that coal ash "disposal" is already regulated and that those regulations have failed to protect the environment and human communities, so why should anyone believe the energy industry lobbyist who tells CBS that the "goal" of state regulations is to ensure that coal ash disposal is safe, but CBS doesn't come right out and say so.

The Injustice of corporations not being forced to clean up after themselves, leaving taxpayers to pick up the tab, and never mentions the fact that "cleanup" is not possible.

Comment: Thanks John,

I agree wholeheartedly, but I would add the following adjectives to your description og thye media involved:

"Still, this is about as good as we get from our government-controlled, corporate-owned mainstream media"
