Working Together for Our Inherent Governing Authority! Single acts of tyranny may be ascribed to the accidental opinion of a day; but a series of oppressions, begun at a distinguished period, and pursued unalterably through every change of ministers, too plainly prove a deliberate systematical job of reducing us to slaves." --Thomas Jefferson

Uranium Mining Pollutes Drinking Water
Comment: Great Letter Anne!!
Published: May 17, 2009
To the editor:
How ironic that exploratory drilling for uranium has caused drinking water problems for the folks of Goliad, Texas, when Virginia Uranium Inc. has stated its exploratory drilling for uranium around Coles Hill near Chatham has not caused any drinking water problems. Visit YouTube for this video of the Goliad, Texas, story: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjlWUXG4P-Y
What will our elected officials do to protect the citizens of Pittsylvania County and beyond?
Will they ban an industry that has historically polluted every place uranium mining and milling has ever been undertaken?
